Guests in cabins are welcome to the expansive lawn and we will fire up the large Montana Style Fire pit at the Main Lodge (weather and wind permitting.) Guests may also access the exclusive HammerStern Wilderness Preserve and our private hiking trails thru the preserve, and along the Dan River.
There is someone at the Main Lodge 24/7 for questions, concerns, help booking excursions, or Lodge porch sitting company.
Our Cabins are in a Wilderness. The roads are dirt/gravel. It is mountainous. If you have four wheel drive, BRING IT. If dirt roads and hills scare you, call and we can help you find somewhere else to stay. This is a Mountainous Wilderness Preserve. If being off the beaten path frightens you, – please reconsider.
